Meet Our Staff
Lisa Sumner handles Personal Injury intakes, as well as assisting clients with their property damage claims. Lisa has over 20 years of legal experience and is dedicated to providing our clients with exceptional customer service. She loves helping people and making a difference in their lives. Lisa is from Greensboro, North Carolina and still lives in Greensboro, close to her children and grandchildren. Her faithful companion, Braden, keeps her busy and always laughing at his quirky canine antics. Outside of the office, you can find Lisa playing Cookie Jam or cooking up something new in the kitchen.
Cynthia Williams is a North Carolina Certified Paralegal of 13 years who works closely with attorneys, staff, and clients to prepare cases for filing in local, state, and federal courts. She has excelled in her career, displaying leadership skills learned through the combination of 19 years of law firm experience in various roles. Cynthia complements her skills as a law professional with 20 years of real estate and 23 years of nursing experience. She uses these skills to conduct research, review medical records, prepare detailed reports, and decipher complex issues related to litigation. Cynthia is also a Notary Public for the State of North Carolina.
Dina Kipilla joined the firm in September of 2013. With more than 20 years experience in the field of personal injury, Dina manages pre-litigation files, from intake to settlement. Prior to joining Egerton Law, Dina worked at a law firm in New Jersey, assisting attorneys with pre-litigation and litigation of personal injury claims, workers’ compensation, and traffic cases. Dina lives in southwest Guilford County with her family. When she is not working, Dina enjoys trips to the beach, time with family and friends, and traveling.
Sharon Widener has years of experience as a Paralegal, specializing in workers’ compensation, plaintiffs’ personal injury, civil litigation, trial preparation in Superior Court, and hearing preparation for cases heard before the North Carolina Industrial Commission. She works closely with adjusters, nurses, medical providers, and attorneys, helping the firm achieve maximum results for our clients. Sharon studied business administration at Surry and Forsyth Technical Community Colleges. She studied real estate law at Guilford Technical Community College and is a Notary Public for the State of North Carolina. Sharon is a native North Carolinian and enjoys watching football, golf, travelling, and outdoor activities with her horse and her dogs, 2 Aussies and an Eskie.
Teresja Poole has been employed by Egerton Law for 12 years. Teresja started as a “work from home” Marketing Assistant. A few years later, she transitioned to the office and served in a variety of roles before settling into her current position as Assistant to Pierce Egerton. In addition to her work at Egerton Law, Teresja acts as administrator of a summer fiddle camp she and her partner began 19 years ago. The camp draws musicians from across the country and beyond. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Blowing Rock Conference Center, the camp’s host facility. Teresja’s service-oriented lifestyle is demonstrated by her dedication to individuals in our community with special needs. Teresja currently provides Alternative Family Living (AFL) residential support to a lovely young woman, and is a passionate participant in a host of activities with her special needs friends and their caregivers.
Kimberly Rose graduated from Alamance Community College, where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Legal Office Administration. She also received a Leadership Award as a member of the Mock Trial team. Kimberly joined our firm in May of 2018 as a Legal Assistant to Attorney Samantha Clark Aktug, where she specializes in Social Security Disability claims. Kimberly is a mother of 4 children and 2 fur babies. She is compassionate about helping others and an avid supporter of the Triad’s Music & Arts.
Vicky Dodson is a Case Manager for the personal injury department. She joined the Egerton Law team in 2017. As a Case Manager, Vicky is thorough in obtaining up-to-date file materials and preparing them for settlement negotiations between the attorney and the insurance adjuster. Driven by her compassion, she is able to put herself in her clients’ shoes because she has experienced being an injured party in a motor vehicle collision before. Outside of the office, Vicky enjoys spending time with her husband, her German Shepherd mix, Bria, and her family and friends. She also enjoys watching movies (everything from Disney to Horror) and binging a good Netflix series.
Delfina Membreño has been a Legal Assistant with the firm since 2016. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Political Science. In her free time, she enjoys learning languages, hiking, and playing with her two dogs. She speaks fluent Spanish and intermediate Russian.
Jill Clark was born and raised in Massachusetts. She is a loyal and proud fan of the New England Patriots, but don’t hold that against her. In August of 1993, she came to Greensboro, North Carolina to attend classes at Guilford College, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Justice and Policy Studies in 1997, and began her career with Egerton Law shortly thereafter. Jill loves finding solutions to problems. She has filled numerous positions with the firm over the years, including Case Manager, Intake Specialist, Trainer, and Case Management Software Specialist. She and her husband have a son and a daughter. They have also housed a small zoo over the years, including everything from dogs to lizards. On the rare occasion she has free time, Jill loves to read, watch crime shows or Home and Garden TV, and, of course, watch football.
Emily Bailey is the Office Manager at Egerton Law and has been with the firm since 2017. She has several years of managerial experience with other businesses. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the office and is the “go to” person for all things financial and “outside the box.” Emily is a longtime resident of Reidsville, where she enjoys spending time with her husband, her family and friends, and her two rescue dogs, Tonks and Finn. She loves cooking, exploring North Carolina, and is always up for an adventure.
