Crushed Car Demonstrates Dangers of Texting While Driving

I have frequently posted blogs on the dangers or texting while driving.

Ashley Johnson of Asheville, North Carolina died last May when her car crossed the center line and hit a pickup truck. Troopers said that the young driver was trying to read a text message when the accident happened.

Now, her father, Amos, has a vital message to communicate in our state. What remains of Ashley’s vehicle is on display at the North Carolina State Fair in Raleigh.

Amos feels confident that the display of the wreckage—which he saw for the first time at the fair—will make a positive, potentially life-sparing impact. “Somebody’s going to see this car and they’re going to stop texting and driving. I know they will,” he said in an article on digtriad.com.
