Speeding Motorcyclist Collides with Car

On Behalf of | Oct 26, 2010 | Motorcycle Accident |

Steven John Rodell was travelling down Fleming Road in Greensboro, NC on October 18, 2010 at a high rate of speed when the vehicle exited the road to the left and struck the median. The motorcycle’s impact with the median sent it and the driver airborne. The vehicle then hit a car driven by Andrew Lynn James as it sat at the intersection of Old Oak Ridge Road and Fleming.

Mr. Rodell was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained “A Type” injuries–which are potentially disabling injuries–according to the accident report. He was speeding at an estimated 50 mph in a 35 mph zone when the crash happened.

Hopefully, Mr. Rodell is recovering well. His accident is an unfortunate reminder to motorcycle enthusiasts of the risks of excessive speed.
