Jay Ryan Whitt, 44, of High Point, North Carolina was walking on the sidewalk of Eastchester Drive when he apparently stumbled and fell into the street.
Tragically, a pickup truck was driving along the outer eastbound lane of the road at the same moment. The driver, Sandra Johnson Weathers, 51, of Greensboro, was unable to avoid hitting Mr. Whitt, according to police accounts in an article from news-record.com.
