John Glenn McLean Killed While Working on Interstate 95

The driver of a mower, John Glenn McLean of Erwin, NC was killed when a tractor-trailer rear-ended the mowing truck he was driving along Interstate 95 on October 27, 2010 near Fayetteville, NC.

The tractor-trailer struck two parked safety vehicles that were positioned to warn oncoming motorists of the workers ahead.

John McLean was employed by a company under contract with the NC Department of Transportation to cut grass along the highway.

His son, Jerome Stewart, 19, was also victim of this accident. Stewart was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center after the safety vehicle he was in was hit by the tractor-trailer.
