Joseph Park Beeson, Kimberly Dawn Stanford Killed in Inclement Weather

On central North Carolina roads, even just a couple inches of snow can lead to untimely death.

Tragically, two people were killed on Saturday, December 4, 2010 during the first snowfall of the 2010-2011 winter weather season in central North Carolina.

Joseph Parker Beeson, 35, of Thomasville was driving west on East Fork Road in High Point when his truck crossed the center line, fishtailed and collided with another truck heading east. Mr. Beeson was killed.

Mr. Beeson’s passenger, Kimberly Dawn Stanford, 38, of Trinity, also passed as a result of the wreck.

Ms. Stanford’s 6-year-old daughter, Leanna Dawn Stanford, was transported first to Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro and then moved to Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem following the fatal collision. Leanna Dawn Stanford is listed in critical condition, according to an article on digtriad.com.

Also injured during the car crash was the driver of the other truck, Robert Orman. He was taken to Moses Cone Hospital and received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
