On Behalf of | Nov 21, 2014 | General |

Another Manufacturer of metal alloy hip implants has announce a nationwide Settlement Program for those injured by their devices.

Stryker Orthopaedics, also known as Howmedica Osteonics Corp., announced this month that it is setting aside over $1 billion to compensate individuals who were injured by the company’s Rejuvenate and ABG II Modular Neck hip replacement systems.  People eligible to recover under this Settlement Program include those who have had a Revision Surgery to remove the recalled devices, and those who are medically unable to undergo a needed Revision.

The Base Award for eligible claimaints is $300,000.  This number is subject to deductions or enhancements based on such factors as age, infection, and other medical complication.

As announced, the Program will pay out only to people who had a Revision Surgery prior to November 3, 2014.  Eligible individuals must register with the Program by December 14, 2014.

If you received a Stryker Rejuvenate, or ABG II hip replacement system, you should contact an attorney to determine whether enrolling in the Settlement Program is best for you.  The attorneys at Egerton Law can help you protect your claim even if you don not qualify for the announced Settlement Program.  Call us toll free at 336-273-0508 to discuss your Stryker hip implant claim today.
