FMCSA’s Tips to Avoid Rear-End Collisions

At Egerton Law, P.A., we advocate a simple rule called “The Brick Wall Rule” in maintaining a safe travelling distance.

Too often, rear-end collisions and multiple car pile ups could have been prevented if drivers had followed some safety guidelines like the ones found here:

If those tips are too much to remember, just visualize a brick wall (instead of another motor vehicle) ahead of you while you’re driving down the road. Could you brake to avoid hitting it? If not, then you’re following too close!
