In Wilmington, N.C. on January 26, 2011, several people were involved in an automobile accident on an MLK Parkway off-ramp near the Burgaw exit. Three of the injured victims were children while one was an adult.
Authorities say a vehicle collided with another car on the exit ramp and pushed it across a median where it was then hit by an oncoming semi-truck. It sounds like the car that caused the accident was either following too close or failed to reduce speed to avoid the car crash.
The three children and adult in the impacted vehicle were transported to an area hospital, but their conditions are currently unreleased. Hopefully, they have not suffered serious injury or death.
