Trooper Thomas Day was investigating a wreck on Southern High School Road in Alamance County, NC around 7:00 a.m. on the morning of December 16, 2010 when his patrol car was struck by another vehicle.
Callie Mazejaka, an 18-year-old driver, lost control of her Nissan Xterra due to the icy road conditions experienced across much of central North Carolina on Thursday.
Both Trooper Day and Ms. Mazejaka were treated at an area hospital for minor injuries. Ms. Mazejaka was cited for exceeding safe speed.
