Louis Carmona, Three Passengers, Injured in Single-Car Crash

Louis Carmona, 18, was driving on Prospect Street in Randolph County, North Carolina during the afternoon of November 6, 2010 when he lost control of the car.

Louis ran off the road and hit a culver, a utility pole and finally a tree before coming to a halt. Investigators estimate that the car was travelling between 70 and 75 mph when the wreck happened.

Louis and his front seat passenger, Yesica Carmona, 14, were air lifted to Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Though serious, their injuries are not being called life threatening.

Sharon Poindexter, 14, and Jose Jimenez, 16, were also injured in the accident. They were taken to High Point Regional Hospital. They are expected to survive as well.
