UPDATE: Driver Arrested in Bicycle Hit-and-Run

The suspect alleged to have hit bicyclist Toorialey Fazly and fled the scene in Elon, NC has a record that includes four counts of misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. Robin Stanfield Ragsdale struck five, killing four in 2007 on University Drive in Elon. She claims that it is because of this prior experience that she “panicked and just took off” after striking Fazly on September 15, 2010, according to Lt. James Perry. Ragsadale states that the accident occurred because the sun was in her eyes when she hit Fazly. He remains at Duke Medical Center in stable condition.
