Myles Turner, 26, was driving with passenger Lauren Fannin, 22, both from Stokesdale, North Carolina when he fell asleep at the wheel of his Chevy truck on Greensboro’s Urban Loop near Hilltop Road on August 1, 2010. The young people are lucky to be alive.
Turner dozed off and crossed the median. His truck flipped several times. Both Turner and his passenger were transported to Moses Cone Hospital with serious injuries.
I’m sure the families and friends of the victims are relieved that the accident did not end in death. The type of injuries the young people received has not been disclosed, but we hope that they will be treatable and that the recovery process will be swift for them both.
