Lawrence Egerton is no stranger to legal battles against large and powerful interests. Since opening his practice in 1956, Lawrence has represented clients against big auto insurance companies, big oil companies, automobile manufacturers, and federal and state governments at all levels.
In his early years, Lawrence engaged in general practice and gained valuable experience in all phases of law. In addition to car accident cases, he has handled criminal cases, real estate matters, divorce cases, and transactions involving corporations and partnerships.
Over the years, Lawrence became specialized in injury cases involving car accidents, workers’ compensation, slip and fall, Social Security Disability, and product liability.
In August 2010, DePuy, a medical device company, recalled 93,000 faulty hip implant devices. Lawrence began handling cases for over fifty clients with bad DePuy hip implants and has settled a number of these cases out of court.
Lawrence was born in Greensboro in 1931. He grew up in Greensboro, became an Eagle Scout, graduated from Greensboro Senior High (now Grimsley), and served as a Lieutenant in the Air Force stationed in North Africa during the Korean Conflict. He received his law degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1956 and has practiced law in Greensboro ever since.
Even after 60 years of working in the legal field, Lawrence is a "full-time" lawyer and continues to work for his clients on a daily basis.
