Pedestrian Mack Spence Hit While Retrieving Mail

Mack Spence, a 94-year-old resident of Swepsonville, North Carolina, was struck by a motorcycle on November 13, 2010.

Thankfully, Mr. Spence is currently listed in good condition at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Mr. Spence was walking across Swepsonville-Saxapahaw Road to collect his mail when the accident happened. He was hit by a motorcycle driven by Richard Holopainen, 47, of Graham. The accident report claims that Mr. Holopainen was travelling at the speed limit, and alcohol is not suspected as a contributing factor in the crash.
