L. Pierce
Egerton
Pierce Egerton worked in both Washington, D.C., and Raleigh. He knows first-hand
how insurance companies and big corporations use their enormous financial and
political resources to deny injured people and their families a fair recovery.
Thousands of Americans are seriously injured every year. Many suffer devastating physical, emotional, and economic losses. Yet every year powerful insurance companies and corporate giants spend millions to influence lawmakers and the public. Their goal? -- Make it harder for accident victims and their families to recover from their losses. Pierce is no stranger to legal battles against the economically and politically powerful. He fought to protect the independence of local environmental specialists to enforce laws protecting our environment against bullying by wealthy companies and developers. He fought government tax collectors all the way to the United States Supreme Court to recover money that was illegally and unconstitutionally collected from retired people, small businesses, and others. He fought to protect the ability of law enforcement officers to defend themselves against violent criminals while also advising police on respecting the civil rights of citizens. Pierce has also fought against greedy landlords and unfair governmental regulation. Since joining Egerton & Associates in 1994, Pierce now fights insurance companies and corporate giants that seek to increase their bottom line at the expense of seriously injured persons and their families.
